Information Security Firm Recognized
for Service to No. Va. Business Community

Herndon, VA — SecureIT, a leading provider of information assurance and IT governance services, was recently recognized for its record of accomplishment in, and support of, a novel business incubator program in Northern Virginia.
At its annual Awards for Chamber Excellence event at the Hyatt Regency on October 5, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) presented its Incubator ACE Award to SecureIT in recognition of the firm's activities in support of the Chamber, its Incubator program, and the broader business community. The Incubator program provides support services and mentoring guidance to emerging businesses that are Chamber members.
According to GRCC's acting president, Chuck Mills, SecureIT itself was a participant in the Incubator program several years ago. Now that the company has 'graduated' from the program and has emerged as a leader in its field, president and founder David Trout has returned to serve as a board member on the Incubator program, providing strategic guidance and mentoring services for young companies in the region.
"Through our Incubator program, the Chamber is pleased to provide support services to growing companies in the greater Reston area," Mills notes. "It's very satisfying to see a company like SecureIT establish itself and move onto greater success … but it's extraordinary when a business leader like David Trout then opts to give back to the program — and to the community at large — in the way he has."
