SecureIT Awarded 5 Year IT Security Prime Contract with CPSC
SecureIT to provide the Consumer Products Safety Commission IT security consulting services to support implementation of new FISMA guidance from OMB and revised NIST standards for security authorization and continuous monitoring (C&A).

Reston, VA, 5/4/2010 – SecureIT, a privately held leading provider of professional and technical services for cybersecurity, information assurance and risk management, announced award of a prime contract with the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). CPSC is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. The CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products - such as toys, cribs, power tools, cigarette lighters, and household chemicals - contributed significantly to the 30 percent decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 30 years.
Under the terms of the contract, SecureIT will perform security planning, vulnerability assessment, security control assessment (ST&E), risk assessment and continuous monitoring services through both fixed price and time & material delivery orders. The five-year Delivery Order contract is valued at $2,000,000. Additional services and solutions include contingency planning, privacy impact assessment (PIA), configuration management and security awareness and training.
