SecureIT Team Awarded 5 Year SETA Contract from FEMA

SecureIT to provide DHS/FEMA with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Geospatial Services, IT Security, Cybersecurity and Enterprise Infrastructure Services.

Reston, VA, 5/7/2010 – SecureIT, a privately held leading provider of professional and technical services for cybersecurity, information assurance and risk management, announced its team, led by Evolver, was awarded a contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  The five year IDIQ contract for Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) has a ceiling of $290M and supports the needs of the FEMA Information Technology Division (ITD) and other agency components.   FEMA intends to use this contract to obtain professional and information technology services spanning Enterprise Architecture (EA), Enterprise Geospatial Services, IT Security (Cybersecurity), Enterprise Infrastructure, and Telecommunications Infrastructure.

The mission of the FEMA is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect communities nationwide from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters. In support of this mission, FEMA uses a wide variety of information systems and information technology solutions and services. These systems and solutions must be operated and maintained at the highest level of performance, reliability, integrity and security twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. As of November 2007, FEMA has responded to more than 2,700 presidentially declared disasters as demonstrated most recently in response to people affected by the Tennessee storms and flooding that started April 30, 2010.
